I’ve been hell bent on keeping this ring. I already have a nice emerald ring but this ring is more than nice, but this one is different, it’s museum quality (swoooooon). You probably know that most emeralds have inclusions. We call that jardin which means garden in French and Spanish. That’s because a whole world lives inside of emeralds and many other minerals call it home. It is incredibly rare to find a Colombian F1 emerald that has little to no jardin. And if you do, it’s usually quite pale. This stone is anything but that. It’s 1 million times better in person with a perfect blue green color. It has amazing cutting that does not show a window and literally looks good from every angle. So now that I’ve said enough about the emerald, I’ll tell you about the setting. I did not make this setting, but if given the opportunity I wouldn’t change a thing. These elongated baguette are really hard to find and very expensive to cut. It was a bold design move but OMG it looks so perfect with the step cut stone. it is truly an heirloom. I love how they managed to set the emerald, which is quite deep, in a way that doesn’t make the ring seem bulky or uncomfortable. Like I said, I wouldn’t change a thing. The diamonds are very clean and very white and all perfectly matching. The emerald is AGL certified, and measures 9.3 x 8 x 5.93. AGL has called it rectangular, and when put into the gemstone weight calculator makes the stone approximately 5.9 carats.
