Natural glowing demantoid garnet, tsavorite and diamond ring in 18k gold Gilded Lane Design

Before I dove deeply into the world of colored gemstones I had no idea that garnets came in every color. I also never knew that there are several types of green garnets. They are all rare, but this one here that you’re seeing is insanely rare. It’s called a demantoid garnet. They can come from many regions, but this one in particular is Russian. How do I know? The telltale inclusion inside of this stone is highly desired (I know that seems completely contradictory to a person who is a diamond lover) and it is called a horse tail inclusion. it is an inclusion that greatly increases the value of a stone.  They are Fine, golden, or fibrous strands that fan out and curve from a central point (often a tiny chromite or magnetite crystal). Fun little fact, sometimes these minerals are asbestos. But don’t worry, it’s safe. Not only is it safe it’s freaking awesome.

Made in 18k yellow gold the center demantoid garnet is 1.47 carats and is surrounded with .16 ctw of diamonds and .42 ctw of tsavorite garnets.  The ring is 12.14 mm wide, it sits 4.5 mm of the finger, it weighs 4.96 g, it is a size 6, sizable
